postheadericon Gardening - Calendar for March

Special Notes:

  • As the weather warms you can put your seedlings outside during the day to help harden them for relocation.

  • Start feeding Roses with your favorite rose food once a month.

  • Start feeding the acid-loving plants month until September.  I dump my coffee grounds in an old coffee can and when full spread them under my acid-loving plants.

  • Around the middle of the month you can start to plant your seedlings as the weather warms up.

  • Put compost around established trees and shrubs and mix into the soil
